It began in 2000, when Marney Makridakis started a magazine for artists and writers, Artella (named for art & telling.) Determined to not have advertising, she needed to figure out a way to pay for it...and that led to Artella Land!

Back then, it was one of the very first virtual social communities, and a true pioneer in the design and utility of digital products. Now, for 26 years, Artella Land has a ground-breaking online creativity network and resource for creative expression.

Marney is also the bestselling author of Creating Time: Using Creativity to Reinvent the Clock and Hop Skip Jump: 75 Ways to Manifest a Meaningful Life, both published by New World Library.

She also developed the acclaimed ARTbundance Method, which has trained over 450 ARTbundance Coaches & Practitioners since 2008.
