Day 1 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

Welcome to The Creating Time Mega Event!

You are one of over 2,000 people who have signed up to collectively welcome a new paradigm of time. Over the next three weeks, you will receive an ongoing flow of innovative tools, techniques and ideas to create a relationship with time. Together, we will explore new alternatives to the "defaults" of anxiety/stress/worry/complaints about time that are so pervasive in our society. You can finally move past the limiting views of time that have held you back from fully embracing the wild beautiful truth: time is not a defined line; it is instead a vibrant, completely moldable, layered, multi-faceted work of art that is in your artistic hands to create and design, each and every day. Welcome to the ending of time as we know it...and the beginning of an exhilarating new life!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

The next three weeks will guide you to change the way you think about, imagine, measure, and experience time. Before you venture into new time territory, it's helpful to examine your current relationship with time.

Today's Time Expansion Moment begins with a small set of four questions that you can address by writing your answers  in your journal of choice. There are two optional steps that follow, if you'd like to take the lesson a bit further, as well as connect with others doing the same.

1. When you think about time, what is the first thing that comes to mind?

2. What is your deepest wish, regarding time?

3. What is your biggest challenge, regarding time?

4. If you suddenly never had to worry about time, how might your life be different?

Optional ARTsignment: Reflecting on the answers to the above questions, draw, sketch or a doodle an image that represents the role of time in your life right now.

Optional Community Connection: Share some or all of your responses in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or uploading your image.

Congratulations...you have begun your new journey!

I'll see you tomorrow with the next step!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

Yesterday's video invited you to explore a New Vision of Time. Thank you for your wonderful, insightful comments in the Facebook community!

Today's Time Expansion Moment invites you to imagine your new relationship with time in more depth.Complete the following phrases with your first intuitive response...that initial, raw thought or idea that pops into your head first, before you allow "thought" to intervene.

1. A new vision of time might look like ________

2. A new vision of time might sound like __________

3. A new vision of time might feel like ____________

4. A new vision of time might ______________

What comes to mind as you reflect on your first, raw responses?

Optional ARTsignment:
Gather your phrases and create a piece of art to illustrate a new vision of time. Your art need not be complex or intricate (unless you want it to be!) -- a stick figure drawn with crayons works just as well as an elaborate painting or mixed media composition!  With ARTsignments, the emphasis is always on the creative process, and using creativity as a means to further exploration and discovery, rather than making "great art".

Optional Community Connection:
Share your responses in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts about your new vision of time. There are wonderful ideas and comments being shared, so I encourage you to stop by and get inspired!

Look forward to connecting with you tonight!

If you'd like to access the recordings after them, or to download the file to your computer or iPod, unlimited downloading will be available as part of a package at the conclusion of the event.

This wonderful video by Violette Clark's was broadcast via the participant dashboard during last night's call. Thank you, Violette, for sharing your artistic process for creating two of the pieces of art featured in Creating Time!

I also wanted to share this complete "uncut" video from Violette, which is about 10 minutes long, in which Violette shares even more about her "time process" and her journey in utilizing ADD in her creative journey.

Today's Time Expansion Moment

If you did not attend the event last night, the first step will be to listen to the recording using the link above.

In the event, I introduced the concept of making your set of "creative clocks": new timepieces filled with the words and phrases you hear and experience during these 3 weeks, which represent your new ways to "tell time" -- to literally tell time what you want it to be, what you want your relationship with it to look like.

For today's Time Expansion moment, continue playing with your clocks, adding more words, thoughts, and ideas to reflect your new insights and layers of awareness. If you like, you can use these prompts to help you absorb the live event more deeply:

1. What is the #1 message or idea that you really want to remember?(either attending live or listening to the recording)?

2. Did you hear anything that surprised you?

3. What do you remember about the event that made you smile, laugh, or feel joyful?

4. What concepts or ideas would you like to revisit, and think more about?

5. What are you noticing, in terms of your feelings about time?  Is anything changing or shifting?

Optional Community Connection: What really struck you about last night's event? Come share your responses in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting the kinds of things you're writing and doodling on your Creative Clocks!

I'll see you tomorrow with a fun time-traveling ARTsignment!

Day 5 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

You can find of all previous Time Expansion Moments, the audio of this week's gathering, and this week's featured video...all on the Archives page, here!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

During this week's live gathering, I explained that the intention of this series is to change the way we Think about, Imagine, Measure, and Experience time, and in this week's gathering, we addressed the "T" and the "I" components. (If you missed it, you can listen to the recording, here.)

One of my favorite ways to use imagination to expand my current time reality is to mentally "time-travel," extending the current moment in both directions on the timeline, allowing my past and future selves to participate in this moment as well.

Many quantum physicists have insisted that the past, present, and future exist simultaneously -- energetically and even physically. We can use this theory as the basis of imaginative exploration and tap into the energy of these different parts of us that have existed and will exist. A powerful thought experiment is to engage in imaginary time traveling to get more information and insight at any given moment.

To start, ask any question that is strongly on your mind right now. Some examples: "How can I move from living paycheck to paycheck?" "How can I strengthen this relationship?" "How can I make a difference in the world?" Then examine the question throughout time, asking yourself at all junctures for information that addresses your question. In other words, answer your question from various points of the timeline of your life from very young, all the way to the last days of your life.

Time's surreal fluidity can serve a very useful purpose in this exercise, as we find inner knowledge that is available to us only by time-traveling through our own imaginations.

You can even extend your imagination to travel to times long before your birth and long after your death. For example, before Tony and I were married, he wrote a poem for me that depicted our two spirits incarnated as carefree and playful dolphins frolicking in the Atlantic Ocean during the year 1098. When we experience stressful moments in our relationship in present time, I often will time-travel to imagine us as those frolicking dolphins; when I do this, an immediate sense of peace and clarity comes to me. I created the painting shown here to help access and capture these positive feelings, and it hangs in our bedroom.(You can click the painting to see it in full size).

I especially love "time traveling" to the very end of my life, whenever that may be. I like to imagine that I can ask my wise older self -- a luminescent me with white hair and time-earned wrinkles, a simple question: "What was the best decision you made about such-and-such topic, and why?" Looking at any challenge or choice from her point of view broadens my perspective and never fails to bring me new insight.

Try this: go "time traveling" in your imagination to help bring greater meaning to right now:

1. Think of a question strongly on your mind right now.

2. Examine the question throughout time, asking yourself at all junctures for information that addresses your question. Try answering your question from the point of view of yourself as a spirit in the womb, as a toddler, as a young child, a rebellious teen, a wide-eyed 20-year-old, and so on. . . all the way to stages older than yourself and at the end of your life.

3. What thoughts, revelations, and insights come forward?

Optional ARTsignment: Begin creating a piece of art using any media or art supplies to illustrate one of your "time-traveling messages". As you create, continue to allow this "other time" to become vital and alive within you, now, expanding the depth and breadth of meaning in this very moment.

Optional Community Connection: What have you learned from this "time travel" experiment in your imagination? Share your thoughts with the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your writing and art about "time traveling".

Blasting off....

Day 6 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

You can find all previous Time Expansion Moments, the audio of this week's gathering, and this week's featured video...all on the Archives page, here!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

Yesterday, you began an ARTsignment that invited you to "time travel" to different parts of your life, as a way to expand your awareness of this moment. I think this is one of the most powerful ways we can use time's surreal qualities.

To expand our sense of "what if," we can look to another hypothesis that has garnered very significant attention by today’s scientific community: the idea of parallel universes. Some scientists believe that there are an infinite number of parallel universes, each the result of cause and effect throughout time. This idea has also taken hold in modern spirituality. The Law of Attraction, for example, is often extrapolated to envision a parallel universe where we already have what we want, and therefore we may realize that our desires are already manifest.

To help you continue to explore "what if", I invite you to listen to my full, uncut Time Capsule Interview with Tama Kieves, as we discuss a new vision of what time could be when we access imagination to explore the possibilities. It's a wonderfully inspiring conversation and Tama's unique blend of passion and compassion is quite soul-stirring. To learn more about Tama, visit www.awakeningartistry.com

Journal Questions:

1. What sticks out to you from the conversation with Tama? What do you want to remember?

2. What message does time have for you today?

Optional ARTsignment: Create a new "creative clock", following the pattern of the clocks we started in the teleclass this week.  Title this new clock, "The What If? Clock" and fill your empty circle with phrases, words, and images that illustrate your "what if?" images.

If you have not yet listened to the recording of Wednesday's class, all you need to do is simply draw an empty circle on a piece of paper, and fill it with your ideas, insights, and beliefs about time. This is a new way to literally "tell time", by telling time what we want to experience in partnership with it!

Optional Community Connection Participate in the conversations in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's post, uploading your art, and/or sharing your thoughts about the role of imagination in creating time.

See you tomorrow (or perhaps, in another dimension...LOL!)

Day 7 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

You can find of all previous Time Expansion Moments, the audio of this week's gathering, and this week's featured video...all on the Archives page, here!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

During last week's class, I shared this marvelous video by Violette Clark, in which she shares a bit of her experience creating ARTsignments for Creating Time.

I enjoy the video because not only do we get to hear Violette speak about her work, but we actually are drawn in to be part of her creation process, observing the flowing movement as her Buddha Time Guide comes to life.

The perception of time is the quintessential human paradox. We often want to escape ourselves and lose track of time, and yet when we become fully
aware of the gift of time, we are more present and in I propose a solution in Creating Time to become less aware of time but more aware of the present moment. This leads us to a certain state of bliss that often is described as "losing track of time" or "timelessness" or "flow".

We've all heard that time flies when we are having fun, but when I've been in the flow state, I have felt that time neither flies nor stalls . . . instead, time sighs.

Journal Questions:

1. When does time sigh for you? Think of a recent time when you were so engaged in the present moment that you lost track of your sense of linear time. Where were you? What were you doing? Who were you with? What did it feel like?

2. How do these experiences affect your sense of time?

3. What helps you become less aware of time, but more aware of the present moment?

Optional Community Connection: What have you learned from this "time travel" experiment in your imagination? Share your thoughts with the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your writing and art about "time traveling".

Going with the flow...

Day 8 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

Welcome to the second week of The Creating Time Mega Event!  If you are newly joining us, you can find of all previous Time Expansion Moments, the audio of this week's gathering, and this week's featured video...all on the Archives page, here!

We're getting excited about the second live teleclass that is happening this Wednesday, April 11, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (7:00pm central, 6:00pm mountain, 5:00pm pacific). If you have not yet received your dial-in number and PIN to attend the live teleclasses, simply sign up here to get yours. To attend the event, you'll call in by phone. There is also an optional participant dashboard feature that allows you to share your ideas and watch this week's featured video during the class.

These three weeks are all about learning new ways to Think about, Imagine, Measure, and Experience time (those words spell TIME). So far, we've been focused mostly on the "T" and "I" pieces. In this week's class, we will move into the "M": learning to measure time in new ways. You'll hear from our amazing speakers (this week's lineup includes Jill Badonsky, Eric Maisel, Janice Taylor, Claudine Hellmuth, Suzanne V. Falter, Robert Moss, Jennifer Lee, and a great video from Michelle Berlin), engage in a fun, hands-on, in-the-moment creative project, have the opportunity to dialogue with other participants, and lots more!  I look forward to seeing you there!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

Yesterday's Time Expansion Moment explored what helps you enter a state of timelessness...that state where you are not aware of time itself, but more aware of the present moment. Thanks for all the inspiring comments on Facebook!

Now that you've identified the activities, events, places, and states of mind that put you in that wonderful blissful state, today's Time Expansion Moment encourages you to insert more of these moments in your day-to-day life.

Journal Questions:

1. Look at the activities and experiences you identified yesterday that bring you into a state of flow. What do they all seem to have in common?

2. How you might bring more of this kind of timelessness into your everyday life, and "tell time" through timelessness? Look for both obvious and subtle ways to integrate these joyful states more often and more frequently, even in your most mundane, everyday activities.

Optional Community Connection: Create a piece of art, using any media or techniques, to represent the activities, events, places, people, and things that connect you to a sense of timelessness. As you work, think about ways that you can bring more of this feeling into your life.

Optional Community Connection: Share your thoughts with the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your writing and art about time and timelessness.

Feeling our communal hearts beat in time...

Today's Time Expansion Moment

In last week's class, I talked about the beauty of the pause...and how the pause may be one of the most overlooked time-keeping tools that we have access to.

It has been said that music happens in the silences between the notes. I'm not a chess player, but I've heard that the game of chess truly occurs between the moves. When I train ARTbundance Coaches, we talk about how the real coaching happens in the silences, in the pauses when the client makes her own discoveries. In all three cases, the act of pausing allows for necessary processing. The mere act of stopping changes time itself, prompting a sensation of a suspension of time that allows all
other moments to become even more meaningful. Stillness is the ultimate energy generator. The personal recalibration that occurs during stillness creates more time and energy for what matters most to us.

Journal Questions:

1. When you think of pausing, what comes to mind?

2. How might pausing be helpful or meaningful to you as you transform your sense of time?

Optional ARTsignment: Each chapter of Creating Time begins with a "poetic pause": a short short haiku that explores time through a metaphorical lens. I selected the traditional haiku format (three lines with a specific syllabic structure: five syllables, seven syllables, then five syllables) as an exercise in awareness of the role of timing in words and phrases. The idea is to encourage the reader pause the act of "regular reading" and slow down to think and process at a new pace.

Here's an example of one of the "poetic pauses" from Creating Time:

Time as baby's hands
Grasping at all within reach
To make sense of Now

Try writing your own haiku about time and observe the "pause" that it offers in your day!

Optional Community Connection: Share your thoughts with the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your "poetic pause" with us!

Day 10 of Your Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

Our second live Creating Time Mega Event Teleclass is happening tonight, Wednesday, April 11, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (7:00pm Central, 6:00pm Mountain, 5:00pm Pacific). The dial-in number and PIN is the same one that you used last week, and MaestroConference will send a reminder email today, 8 hours before our class begins. If you have not yet signed up for a dial-in number and PIN to attend the live teleclasses, simply sign up here to get yours. To attend the event, you'll call in by phone. There is also an optional participant dashboard feature that allows you to share your ideas and watch this week's featured video during the class.

And of course....
YOU!

If you missed last week's class and have not yet listened to the recording, don't worry...you are most welcome to join us. We are fully grounded in the present moment, and that means you are never "behind" and you never have to "catch up".

This goes true for our Daily Time Expansion Moments, as well. This is intended to be a safe and ideal place to experiment with divine timing...that is, just allow yourself to dip in to what delights you. Observe what it feels like when you don't have to "do" anything...but just explore as you like, when you like. There are those who are used to daily rituals like journal writing that may want to do all or most exercises; others can just dip and choose to do the ones that draw them in. There is definitely no "right" or "wrong" way to partiicpate in this event, so just take in what resonates most with you at any given time and have fun playing with it all.

Helpful things to bring with you to class tonight:

- Paper and something to write with (i.e., markers, crayons, a pen)

- If possible, please print out these two images so you can refer to them during class. They are timeline illustrations from Creating Time, designed by artist Michelle Berlin, whose inspiring video will be featured in class tonight. Simply click the images to open them in full size.

Day 11 of Time Traveler's Adventure...

Dear Time Traveler~

What an amazing time we had in our gathering last night! Thank you for being such a wonderful, energetic community!

I also want to say a big thank you to the amazing creative leaders who were featured in our first gathering: Jill Badonsky, Eric Maisel, Janice Taylor, Claudine Hellmuth, Suzanne V. Falter, Robert Moss, Jennifer Lee, and Michelle Berlin. You can read about them, and all of our wonderful luminaries, here!

Event Recording Links:

(If the April 11 recording does not show up on the page, try click Refresh to refresh your browser).

If you missed the event, or you'd simply like to listen again, you will be able to access streaming audio for free until April 20. If you'd like to access the recordings after then, or to download the file to your computer or iPod, unlimited downloading will be available as part of a package at the conclusion of the event.

This wonderful video by Michelle Berlin was broadcast via the participant dashboard at the end of last night's call. Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your studio and giving us a peek at the lovely artwork you designed for Creating Time!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

If you did not attend the event last night, the first step will be to listen to the recording using the link above.

As with the first event last week, we continued making "creative clocks": new timepieces filled with the words and phrases you hear and experience during these 3 weeks, which represent your new ways to "tell time" -- to literally tell time what you want it to be, what you want your relationship with it to look like.

For today's Time Expansion moment, continue playing with your new clocks from last night, this time adding more words, thoughts, and ideas to reflect your new insights and layers of awareness. If you like, you can use these prompts to help you absorb the live event more deeply:

1. What is the main message or idea that you really want to remember?(either attending live or listening to the recording)?

2. Did you hear anything that surprised you?

3. What do you remember about the event that made you smile, laugh, or feel joyful?

4. What concepts or ideas would you like to revisit, and think more about?

Optional Community Connection: What really struck you about our #2 event about Measuring Time? Come share your responses in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting the kinds of things you're writing and doodling on your Creative Clocks!

I'll see you tomorrow with more creative fun!

Dear Time Traveler~

Today's Time Expansion Moment

Today's Time Expansion Moment is simply this: a small gift of time.

Allow a few minutes to really do nothing except breathe...

Picture yourself on top of an epic mountain and begin to take in several long deep breaths. While enjoying the view, focus on the fact that the invigorating, clean air you are breathing in is the energy of the timeless present.

Reflect on how fruitless it is to try to breathe in yesterday’s or tomorrow’s air. In fact, any time spent doing that is time away from the abundance of beautiful, life-giving, air around you, ready to fill and energize you today.

Dear Time Traveler~

Today's Expansion Moment is time sensitive (isn't it funny how that phrase takes on so much more meaning, now?)  I invite you to take a quick glance and see if you'd like to participate....

Today's Time Expansion Moment

If you look at our galaxy of luminaries for The Creating Time Mega event, you'll see that YOU, Time Traveler, are right in the center. :-)

And now, as we get ready to enter our third week in this marvelous time-traveling, time-transformation experiment, it's time for you to embrace this role more fully.

Your Time Expansion mission if you choose to accept it: share your vision of a New Kind of Time by recording your very own "Time Capsule" audio this weekend to share with me and people all over the world!

 Here's how it works:

To create your audio "Time Capsule", you'll simply call our "Time" Line:-) by phone and briefly share your vision of a New Kind of Time.  There is no charge for the phone call, other than whatever your phone service provider normally bills you for standard domestic long-distance calls.

If you like, you may introduce yourself (your name, web site, etc.) first, or you can simply leave your message anonymously and go right into something like:

"My vision of time is..."
"What if time were...."
"I'd like to imagine that we can all see time as..."
"My wish for our culture is that..."

And then share one or two lines (up to about 30 seconds or so).

I will be selecting an assortment of the Community Time Capsules to share during our final week of The Creating Time Mega Event!  To have your Time Capsule be considered for broadcast in this Wednesday's live teleclass, please complete your recording by Monday at 12:00pm noon Eastern time. If you don't have a few moments to do it by then and need a bit more time, making your recording by this coming Tuesday, April 17th at midnight will still allow it to possibly be part of the various distributed recordings in The Creating Time Mega Event.

Real change happens when community, conversation, and creativity come together. I challenge you to take your new vision of time to heart and ignite all three of these by sharing your Time Capsule and sharing your vision with us!

Day 17 of {!firstname}'s Adventure...

Dear {!firstname}~

We have wonderful news!  With everyone's support, Creating Time not only reached #1  in the category of Time Management, #1 in Happiness, and # 2 in Creativity, it broke into Amazon's esteemed top 100 Bestseller books of any category, even breaking the top 50!  Considering the company on that list, it was pretty surreal seeing our lil' Creating Time book rising up the charts among them all! It was especially wonderful to see all the contributors and everyone who has been helping in getting the word out get rewarded for their efforts this way!  Thanks to all of you who were cheering it on and constantly providing updates!

For those of you who didn't get a chance to order, you can still get  bonuses for orders between now and April 24, and you can get all the details here.  The book will show out of stock at Amazon, but we've been assured the publisher has contacted Amazon directly, given the volume of orders, and been told that the book will now be placed on an expedited schedule so you'll be receiving the books quicker than the times Amazon may officially indicate. And bonuses still apply to all purchases even if the order is going to be shipped out later, so no worries! Just big hugs for your support!

And...our third and final live Creating Time Mega Event Teleclass is happening tonight, Wednesday, April 11, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (7:00pm Central, 6:00pm Mountain, 5:00pm Pacific).

Join us to hear the event speakers, and hear some of the voices from this community as we broadcast selections from the Community Time Capsule project!

And, if you attend the class live, you'll also get to participate in the Time MetaphorMorphosis Experiment....an in-the-moment poetry building project that I think you'll love! :-)

This week's lineup of featured guests includes Marci Shimoff, Victoria Moran, Michael Gelb, Laurie Gough, Gail McMeekin, Marco Rodriguez, Quinn McDonald and Pattie Mosca:

And of course....
You!

If you've missed the previous 2 classes and have not yet listened to the recording, don't worry...you are still most welcome and encouraged to join us. We are fully grounded in the present moment, and that means you are never "behind" and you never have to "catch up".

Helpful things to bring with you to class tonight:

- Paper and something to write with (i.e., markers, crayons, a pen)

- An open mind.

- Your imaginary party hat :-)

Today's Time Expansion Moment

In tonight's class, we'll be exploring how to integrate all of our explorations to a new experience of time.

One topic we'll visit is time in other cultures. Here are a few journal questions for you to explore, if you like:

Journal Questions:

1. What have you noticed about time when you are traveling?

2. If you've visited other cultures, what have you observed about time?

3. What effect do place and space seem to have on time?

Optional ARTsignmentCreate a piece of art to depict an imaginary place that is governed by your ideal view of time. What does it look like? What are the key points of interest on its map?

For those of you who could not attend the entire event last night, or caught only a portion, you can listen to the whole thing at the links below.

Event Recording Links:

Thank you, Patricia, for sharing your studio and giving us a peek at the lovely artwork you designed for Creating Time...and congratulations on your new book Permission Slips for the Heart and Soul!

Today's Time Expansion Moment

During last night's class we wrote a communal poem, collectively, with different people completing the phrase, "What if time was..."

I appreciate everyone who participated in this really cool project! I loved the result!

Here is a recording of the final poem that we created, line-by-line, moment-by-moment...and the text is below, here:

What if time was backwards
What if time was a caterpillar, love, a tree house
What if time was flavored, a gift, extinct
or the morning's dew
What if time was sunshine, a golden ring, a sparkling fountain
An endless loop, a spiral, a spiral
What if time was gossamer, a ripple, or was not timed at all
What if time was luscious, free, a purple balloon
What if time was sweet as chocolate
What if time was a soft cloud
of now
What if time was an eclipse
And what if time was an ellipse (....)

Journal Questions:

1. What are your overall impressions, feelings or sensations, when you read the collective poem?

2. Pick one image that really reaches out to you in particular. Why do you think you might be drawn to this image?

3. What else might you add to the list?

3. What do you remember about the event that made you smile, laugh, or feel joyful?

4. What concepts or ideas would you like to revisit, and think more about?

Optional ARTsignment:  Select one or more ideas in the poem and illustrate them, however you like!

Optional Community Connection: What really struck you about last night's teleclass? Come share your responses in the Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your responses to the communal poem, or anything else you'd like to share!

Day 19 of {!firstname}'s Adventure...

Dear {!firstname}~

I am so appreciative of the lively energy in this community for the past 3 weeks! Together, we have thought about, and talked about, reshaping our experience of time.  Change happens in community and I have seen such awesome shifts during these week!  You all inspire me so much!

The Creating Time launch celebration continues through Tuesday, and you can still get a bundle of free goodies when you order your copy, and you can get all the info here.

Today marks the conclusion of our amazing Creating Time Mega Event, but keep a lookout for a special free wrap-up gift and several really cool and colorful Time Shifting packages.

In Creating Time, the book's epilogue is called the "Prologue", and I explain: "When you create time in your own image, time becomes a whimsical spiral; the preface can come at the end, because truly, any end is just the beginning."

So even though we are wrapping up The Creating Time Mega Event...it's really just the beginning! And speaking of "wrapping up"...keep reading to explore a concept of a cozy "time wrap" to help this moment sink in more meaningfully.

Today's Time Expansion Moment

Here is one of the "Time Transcendence Tools" from Creating Time: 20 tools that we can activate to consciously control our perception of time, and make it feel like it is moving more slowly or quickly, according to our desire in different circumstances.

Create a Time Wrap: When it feels as if life is moving so fast that you might be in a time warp, you can create a Time Wrap: a mental image of a moment wrapped up and safely cocooned in time. Simply imagine that you are wrapping yourself in the moment, protected from outside pressures.

It can help to have a visual image to help absorb and fully ground this experience. You might try to a design a clock or other time keeping device that helps you hone in on the experiences that you would like nestled in your "time wraps". I did this short segment on Good Morning Texas this week that shows a quick and easy approach to creating a new type of clock, built around your creative joy.  Give this short exercise a try yourself and you'll be amazed at what you can come up with!

Journal Questions:

1. What might it feel like to wrap yourself in time?

2. What might your ideal clock look like?

3. What insights, ideas, and awarenesses would you like to "wrap safely in time" and take away from these weeks?

Optional ARTsignment:  Create a piece of art to illustrate your "time wrap", or create your own clock that represents your new sense of time. As the above video demonstrates, your ARTsignments can be quick and easy (simply made with markers and paper!)

Optional Community Connection: Please share your thoughts and ideas in Creating Time Facebook Community by responding to today's posts, and/or posting your art, poems and ideas!

Thank you for being part of this event!
