Artella Magazine was the genesis behind Artella, born out of Founder Marney Makridakis’ growing interest in using words and art together as an art form. As much as she loved making words and art herself, what excited her even more was creating an opportunity for collaborations within a creative community. Thus, Artella, named for "art" and "telling", was born in an effort to ignite a communal spirit among artists, writers, and creative individuals so that "we can dance with the earth's tilt" and embrace all that is possible in both art and life.
