"Our Living Dolls: How to Cherish Them" by Isabella

Created with Artella's
"American Costume Dolls and How to Make Them"

I was inspired to use this book because of the dolls theme. I wanted to change the title to "Our Living Dolls: How to Cherish Them" referring to children. All of the vintage photos were taken from my family collection. The majority of the photos are of my parents, with the exception of a few aunts and uncles. The little boy on the front cover was my mother's brother, David, who died soon after that photo was taken. I had a magical childhood and truly felt loved and cherished. I wanted to convey that in this "memory" book. The final page shows a photo of me in the middle and my parents at the top. In addition to ephemera from Artella and my own collection, the heritage ephemera featured on the front cover came from cottagearts.net.
