Artella: In your mind, how are creativity and spirituality related?

Sue Ann: I believe that we are all creative beings! What we do and how we live, no matter what that is, is an expression of our creativity. Creativity is the language of the Soul... by getting in touch with our own creative self we have the opportunity to tap into Source and deepen our spirituality. Expressing ourselves through the arts is a way to put the ego/monkey mind aside and hear the language of the Soul more clearly.

Artella: How is prosperity related to creativity and spirituality?

Sue Ann: Prosperity comes from the Latin root prosperus or “doing well.” I feel listening closely to the Creative language of the Soul brings us closes to Source in which case we will “do well” in the world.

Artella: What kind of people do you enjoy working with and who is your ideal client?

Sue Ann: I enjoy working with artists and non artists. When I work with artists it may be getting through a project that they are stuck on in which case we will play with the creative process to loosen up and not think about the end product. I have found that many artists have not taken the time to just explore new media, go to a museum or simply take a walk to find inspiration. Sometimes being an artist is a challenge in this world because they may have a built-in idea about how things “should” be, so my job is to guide them towards going more with the flow of the process and seeing in a new way. Working with non artists the biggest challenge is getting past the “I am Not an artist syndrome” once past that it is a joy to watch people come alive in self-discovery, exploring and creating a new way of seeing the world around them. I also love working with kids, I believe in the process of creating and allowing them to discover things through the work we do together. I believe that children who are exposed and involved in the creative process and the arts learn to tap into their imaginations, they acquire problem solving, team work and other skills that carry over into their school work and their lives.

I work mostly with women “baby boomers” who are open to the world of self discovery and living the next chapter of their lives in a more creative authentic way and of course kids of any age!

Artella: ARTbundance Coaching is based on nine ARTbundance Principles. Do you have a favorite Principle, or one that you really enjoy activating in other people? Which one, and why?

Sue Ann: My favorite principle is intuition. I feel that this is the foundation of the work; the answer to any question comes from within. So I usually start my work with a centering and guided imagery to help center and calm the body and mind so that we can be more receptive in hearing and seeing what the work holds.

Artella: What does your future hold? What projects are you working on now?

Sue Ann: Moving forward I am committed to growing my business b.ARTrageous. In addition to having more coaching clients I would love to produce a Creativity Retreat and do more Creativity Workshops. One of the expressions of b.ARTrageous is Design 360 in which I would like to work with people in the healing community, therapist, massage therapists, yoga studios etc., to design scared and creative spaces for their businesses. I am also in the process of fulfilling a dream I have had for many years. I am back in school training in Expressive Arts Therapy at the end of one year I will be a Nationally Certified Expressive Arts Practitioner. I even get to but letters after my name, YAY!
