An Interview with Claire de Zoete

Artella: How would you describe your vision for your work?
Claire: My vision is to enable women to live authentically empowered lives, feel vibrantly alive and to realize their full potential. I have a personal interest in mythical concepts and I'm weaving together my love of fairytales, mythology, astrology etc along with my artwork to create a vehicle for self exploration and empowerment.
Artella: Part of your focus is building a company called "The Way of the Enchantress". What does "The Way of the Enchantress" mean to you?
Claire: 'The Way of the Enchantress' is not about enchanting or ensnaring anyone - it's about the power and strength that comes from feeling centered, valuing yourself and your place in the world and feeling the magic of life is it unfolds all around you. It's about filling yourself up then taking all that and bringing into your world because everything starts with us first.

Artella: What do you love most about this vision that you are creating?
Claire: I love that it brings together everything I'm passionate about together with the knowledge I've gained from my own personal journey to create something that is integrated, that gives me freedom to be myself, to contribute to the world and has the potential to grow.
Artella: In your mind, how are creativity and spirituality related?
Claire: I think that the very nature of life is creative. Channeling creativity involves linking into something bigger then ourselves, being open to what's coming through you and allowing to be. It's an expansive process that often mirrors our journey.

Artella: What does your future hold? What are you working on now?
Claire: My next step is to start putting things out there and getting my business up and running. Exciting times!
Artella: How has participating in "Mapping and Mentoring with Marney" affected your work and/or your life?
Claire: 'Mapping and Mentoring with Marney' has been invaluable. When I started three months ago I had an inkling of what I wanted to do but no idea of the form it would eventually take. Through Marney's compassionate and intuitive guidance and expertise I now know my direction and I'm creating something that really resonates with me. Everyday I'm fired with passion, purpose and peace and if that ever slips she will gently reconnect me with it again. I doubt I would have found this direction without Marney and I am profoundly grateful to her for all she is, all she brings and her generosity in sharing her gifts with the world.

About Claire de Zoete: Claire de Zoete has worked as a 2D animator/children's book illustrator and screenwriter for the past 20 years but something was always sitting in the back of her mind that she needed to move in a different direction. She loves the power and beauty of the transformational process in life and is now creating a business to help others realize their full potential and lead magical, fulfilled lives.
